Psalm 11 5 The LORD examines the righteous,7 His countenance beholds the upright
.Our
needs- I cried to my God for help our shame-Let me not be put to shame,
for I have cried out to you;Praise- I cried out to him with my mouth;
his praise was on my tongue. God is silent- I cried out to God to hear me. trials-cried out to the LORD in their trouble, anguish -I cried to the LORD, and he answered by setting me free.
Gods countenance is always very simple. His desires, will and action are always consistent with who He is. But our countenance is very eradicate.We are in need, experience shame, cannot hear God clearly, have may trials and temptations in this life, experience anguish and we live in human bodies that get weak and grow old. God created man to live in a world of perfect communication. All the words in a perfect world are spoken in perfect unity. When man sinned he began to speak words of disunity. This is what the bible describes as doing violence to ones neighbor. Words create culture, culture creates mans experience. Over the history of the world man has created a society that is ingrained violence.But Gods presence is His view of the entire decline of society in how the violence has effected our countenance. Gods sensitivity to us is His countenance that we need. The Psalms are Gods view of the images that threaten to destroy us. We do not need to experience the culture to know how to avoid the violence. We just need Gods countenance as He describes the world in the Psalms.
