Ps 21 6Surely you have granted him eternal blessings
and made him glad with the joy of your presence.
2You have granted him the desire of his heart
and have not withheld the request of his lips.

God created man and implanted His law in him. The Psalmist teaches that complying with the law would reap eternal blessings. Before the fall man was aligned in his desire, will and speech. This is why when God had finished His work of creation, He pronounced it as good. God would receive praise and glory in giving man control over the creation. God had created all things to work in perfect unison. So you have all of the parts of creation that were designed to display their own personality. So man had to name the parts in unison with Gods design. Gods goodness was displayed by the success of man to name the animals with the perfect unison of desire, will and speech. Man was able to rule over the creation by applying the implanted law in order to meet the standards of Gods purposes.
But when sin entered, man became unable to apply Gods law correctly. It was not only from the desire to rebel against Gods word but it was also from his abilities being severely reduced. We must understand that all reality is a description of God. Every thing is real because it is described from Gods view. The truth is that even tho we are in a physical universe with time constraints, we have the ability to view the world by an image we create. We may be able to see with our eyes a physical object or situation but the truth is that it is our view of that physical object that makes it real to us.So we are able to be all alone in a room and still visit the place through the images that we have created with our minds. So when the Psalmist is describing the eternal blessing , he is teaching that the entire world that was created by God is understood through the meta physical view of all men. This is why he describes the struggles in this world between the righteous and wicked desires.
The truth is that all the danger comes from wicked desires. In order for us to be physically assaulted the weapon must be devised and made by the wicked. Even tho we mark out the people and the places that are dangerous yet the truth is that compared to the geography and the physical armies that take up physical space the presence of evil desires spreads to the entire human race. So imagine if Eve sinned but Adam refused. Adam would be able to apply the law perfectly. You would have the perfect desires of Adam being opposed by the evil desires of Eve. The Psalmist compares Adams dominate desire over Eves evil desires as eternal blessing. So in this sense Adam would not need to be in a physical place in order to control that situation. We are taught that the meta physical struggle of the desire that spreads to all men cannot be ignored. Because of the incarnation Christ has given man the ability to control the meta physical world of desire through the law, covenants, curse, statutes etc. This is why the Psalmist is able to pronounce victory when through the axioms in destroying the success of evil desires. Ps 40 14 May all who seek to take my life be put to shame and confusion; may all who desire my ruin be turned back in disgrace." 41 2The LORD will protect him and preserve his life; he will bless him in the land and not surrender him to the desire of his foes."
We must understand that the physical universe is not the cause of our troubles. Our troubles are all created by desire. Our own experience of fear, guilt, shame, sorrow, and pain are our view that makes the world real. The Psalms teach us to confront our desires in order to develop a clearer understanding of the personalities of the physical universe. He is teaching us to react to the physical universe in pronouncing the axioms. We have been created to rule over the creation by unifying all things. The meta physical struggle in this world is experienced in mans ability to create images. We only exercise our personal power to create images as they are real according to Gods view when we are pronouncing the axioms.
