One of the confusions in our culture is who is Jesus? There are a lot of human experiences attached to the work of Christ that are just copies of the real thing. But there are some people that say unless you make Jesus Lord then you dont know Him. But we do not make Jesus Lord.. He already is Lord. We really dont have a choice. You see Jesus came in His incarnation as the glory of God. He humbled Himself and entered this time sequence. He was the word from Heaven that Israel had been longing for. Jesus entered this earth and brought salvation to Israel and all mankind. This was the God Man who was worshiped and now replaced the temple worship in showing His power as God. He healed men, forgave sins..confronted the religious leaders of that day and saved His people from their sins.
Jesus was the Jehovah who came to earth and died... was raised again so that He could take His riteful place as King in the line of David. He came to earth and led captivity captive. In His ascension He led a throng of people up to the heavenly worship. He is still leading captivity captive until the end of the age.
Jesus is the Lamb of heaven. He came to purchase a people for Himself from every tribe language people and nation. The Lamb who purchased His people with His own blood is the God who is worshiped and adored among the heavenly beings along with the saints who have suffered on this earth. This Lamb is at the rite hand of the Father and is the focus of all the worship in the heavenly throne. Nite and day the great throng of angels... the living creatures... the elders and the saints all dressed in white robes are focused on the throne and give Him honor praise and glory because He alone is the God of salvation. Jesus is the Lamb in which the saints upon entering heaven through the door are brought before the throne of God and fall down and worship Him. They fall on their faces at the site of our great and awesome God.
From this vision of God we are brought before His word for all the earth to see his great and awesome works. He has revealed Himself in time and will bring all mankind to fall down before Him and acknowledge Him as Lord. We who look to Christ know that His word cannot fail that scroll in heaven that He has opened to being about His last day in which the world will be in sudden dismay as the Lamb and the glory of God appear to bring His rule. Then all men will acknowledge that Jesus the Lamb is the Lord of glory.

Let me speak directly to you. There is no one saying or word that is going to save you from the pain of addiction. Words never made a person have positive effects as the proof of the power that is to be trusted in. Doing the next best things is simply your power to choose what you want. Its a sneaky way to empower you to believe that you can change yourself. This little phrase is not a magic pill.lol.

If we were able to see all of the necessary elements that are involved in the changing of a person then we would have the wisdom and power to produce the change. To believe on the one hand that we acknowledge that we are powerless to change ourselves and then to use a phrase that we trust in that encourages us to change ourselves is a contradiction. Its like we used to say... i know when your pulling the wool over my eyes.

We do not trust in mans wisdom but the words we are required to trust in are Gods revealed words. God has not given us a manual for us to act according to the rules. But God has order our lives according to His power. Instead of God encouraging us to look to a phrase of out their in order to begin to change... God does a secret work on our hearts in which we find all of our confidence in. What is this powerful secret work? Is it words of wisdom? What did the apostle say... you foolish Galatians.. who has bewitched you? Before your very eyes Jesus Christ was clearly portrait as crucified!  (the picture of the Spirits revealing.)After beginning with the Spirit.. are you now trying to obtain your goal through human effort? Now here its interesting. The apostle does not say the word and Spirit. Why ? Because in distinguishing mans ways ...that is men trust in words. ... with Gods ways... that is the work of the Spirit through the will and word of God... God is saying... you got the new vision.. the new reality that change your entire understanding .. you were given the Spirit who will lead you into all truth. You cannot fail! But they were going back to the old ways.. they were going back to the letter of the law. But the apostle was directing them to a self teacher who gives life. He wanted their focus to be on the Spirit who gives life. So we always start with the Spirit and trust that He will guide us into all truth.

Kk  develops his own view of man by creating the image as he defines life and death in terms of mans physical make up and has no connection to rewards and punishment as the basis for man being made in the image of God, a free moral agent. lol. If God could be annihilated then He not only ceases to be God but He ceases to be good. The single purpose of God in creating man is that God made a creature in His own image as a representative of the eternal goodness of God as a free moral agent. Gods goodness is expressed in the spiritual oneness in how He relates to man for His own glory in the moral reality that He made man as proof of His goodness. Man is not predominately a collection of cells as Kks proof that God communicates with man is as a free moral agent but instead of our falling for his false reasoning we see man more than flesh and bones. God breathes into man a renewed spirit that creates a new nature... that moral freedom that is the highest quality that man enjoys.  Kk does not take all of scripture ...if all of scripture is Trinitarian then man is required to enjoy God through his freedom as a moral agent. Trinitarianism requires that we view mans identity as a free moral agent as that by which God brings glory to Himself. God cannot cease to be because He is free to choose whatever comes to pass. Man cannot cease to be because man was made in the image of God.

Christ dwells in us as a person. He fellowships with us. The words and these other things we see with our eyes and we touch with our hands ... they are not going to help us to sense who Christ is. But we know ourselves when we are in fellowship with the invisible Christ. Because we know every experience as we know what motivates us to be who we are. We live not only with a relationship to ourselves but to a Person who knows us better than we know ourselves. Christ is our redemption. He is our Savior. Our relationship to Him is not through the physical.
We talk and fellowship with someone who is better at knowing who we are .. what we experience before we experience it. We live in the reality of what we think we are. Our confusion about who we are is related to who Christ is. If we understood all of the glorious relational qualities that are in Christ we would experience life in a totally new confidence. Christ is what gives us a real understanding of all that we love in this life so that we respond to life in a genuine way. Our confusion about our experiences is in these personal relationships to someone Whos presence is reality.
This is why we have an ability to view ourselves. Because we have an image of all of the true longings of who we are.

Weve been redeemed by God and He alone will save us to the end. God is in control not man. So man does not stand as the alone judge. But God brings His holiness before all men and silences them. All men..including the self motivated righteous boasters of our day. They stand silenced before God. What does it mean that God brings men to silence? Well its those men who reason that other men are guilty and they excuse themselves. These men do not seek God for the God who Himself redeems but these men are filled with pride. They think they are essential in the work that God does on this earth. God no longer reaches down to sinners but God must work in a system of man!
If men do not seek God for God then they will try to short circuit Gods work. When someone does not acknowledge Gods rite to rule then they become impatient with peoples sins. There is no agency on this earth that can renew a mans mind. There is no cleansing power available outside of Christ! Listen to me... you are required to stand firm and in your struggle with sin to trust in Christ alone! Gods ways are very slow and the most personal. They have been communicated in the event of the cross. We are only able when we begin to trust that grace is enough to cover over our sins.. the ones we commit over and over again. No man wears the robes of Christ .. the white robes of sinlessness. Every man puts his pants on the same way you do. When we look to Gods law its not to that other guy but its always to us!
This is why the apostle says there is no condemnation to law breakers! Because our response to God is that we look at ourselves and not the other guy. There is no free choice here. You say seek His face ... your face i will seek. No listen it comes with the promise that those who call on God... He will never fail... never ... never ... never. Theres no other option among men. When you sin .. then you call. This is not for the other guy... this is not an option that places the burden on your forcing mens hand. But its to you alone! You are unable.. you stand alone before God. Your in the room all by your self. God does not come to accusers of other men. He only comes to men who alone rescue men and allow God to be the avenger. Not their free will.
We will always wake up as sinners. We will aways be weak. We will always be the same person before God. God only comes to people who sin. He does not come to those who have graduated the program. Listen God defines the relationship so that we will walk in His way. We do not get the option to proof read the scriptures for another option. Look ... we are always going to sin... our sin will lead us to grace.. grace will lead us to the light of the glory of Christ. We look on Christ as wicked. We go to Christ for gifts not payments! Every time we respond to Gods grace we are unworthy sinners. Dont let men destroy your experience of salvation. Look to Gods salvation alone. Do not dwell on what other men say but on God alone.

These ot prophets where a type of Christ who would be the prophet who ruled from heaven. And i think among men this was accumulated in John The Baptist who was the example of Christ apoplectic rule after He ascended to heaven. Weve got to see that these ot prophets were not just passive spectators but they were trained not only in the Torah but in the exercise of being the mediator. I believe that when Samuel came to Saul that Samuel had enough of Sauls lack of trust in Jehovah and had prayed accordingly. As you see... and i would give a lot of attention to the Revelation because this connects biblical truth as connected in a kind of poetic inversion. This is extremely valuable in understanding the NT covenant of grace which gives us the hope that we are looking to and cements the future value of the means of grace. These means do not just get us to heaven but they are essential in rewards... in bringing heaven to earth.. a kingdom focus and seeing the hand of God in avenging the cause of the saints in this time .

The ot prophets where people who used the law to advance the cause of Israel over the nations. They connected the powers of heaven to the earth by forming the redeeming vision in their time. They received grace upon grace in order to know how long it would be until God intervened in the way of judgement and fulfilled their vision for Israel. We see the fulfillment of the Prophets who ascends to heaven and brings a universal apoplectic event through the prophetic word. He forms these events in behalf of His elect so that His rule would be eternal.

Let me talk about his negative part of the christian experience. I know a lot of people are burdened to the point of giving up. These are evil days. We are not only fighting against the devils schemes that come at us through accusations. But we fight against the world as well. Now these schemes are accumulations of all of the evils that have been carried out in former generations. But there comes a time when the power of this evil grows worse and worse. This is why the scriptures talk about it being in our eyes. In other words the battle has come from the streets into our homes. Or the things we cherish..the foundations of personal freedoms... the experience of individualism... all of these enjoyments that are private to us have been spilled into the streets and now even our personal rights are being attacked through foreigners. Those people who do not have our best interest. What do we do?
Well in my studies in Revelation we have a full account of this performance before the throne of God. Because Christ is the Lamb of God then He has taken our sufferings as the most personal to how He responds to us who are still in the midst of this wicked world. The Lamb has shed blood that has more worth than all the suffering the saints are going through now. God is a God who avenges the elect.
In understanding this psychology of how heaven interacts with the events of the earth we must gain hope through our setting our hearts on these pictures given to us in revelation because we are now very connected to how God will avenge our blood. In these days when there are apoplectic events happening before our eyes. We must see that the angels and all the heavenly host are standing before the throne in behalf of the Lamb who has His focus in our lives. This is why we are given the means of faith. They are used to unleash this final salvation over Satan and His children. The kings of the earth .. princes...generals.. the rich and every free man and every slave are going to find a quick and surprising end.
The promises of God are like a store house of wealth that is ours. But we live in a time where we are mostly storing up this wealth when it will be given to us in the eternal kingdom. But now we are in the mode of communicating with heaven. Salvation is our words being stored up so that we receive the avenging part in the future. Our curses... blessings.. and cries for deliverance are being stored in heaven and will be used in the surprising event.. the sudden disaster. All of our anger is fueled into this action that will surprise the earth.
Now we will find that it is most tempting of christians through the false teaching of universalism... that God is the Father of all mankind.. that Jesus did not curse men... overlooking what He did to the Pharisees.. that we are to be passive slaves who are continuously abused until Christ comes and deals personally with us in the Kingdom on earth. What a terrible destructive imagination this is. Christ is seated on His throne and we are His most cherished people. He is judging the earth as He is seated in His Davidic rule. Rite now we can call down the fire from heaven. Did you know the angels take the golden censer in which the prayers of the saints are stored .. those curses and cries of the suffering people of God and He cast fire balls to the earth. In other words we have these angels who are our ministering spirits who hunt those who hunt us.
The ot is a narrative of how heaven intervened in behalf of Gods people to avenge their enemies. Instead of Christ growing distant in the NT narrative He ascends to His throne to achieve a more drastic judgment than what was witnessed by Israel. Christ rules the earth. Now we have these avenging angels that He has gifed us with along with the Spirit of supplication and defense. We have heaven on earth as we cry to God nite and day for the final call and our final victory. When this King from heaven avenges our blood. We are in the mist of a supernatural renewal from heaven as our defense as we call on God to intervene in our trials. We can learn these calls that are absolutely devastating to the be the fire from heaven that destroys the wicked mans schemes.

God says that His ways are not our ways.. His thoughts are not our thoughts. So Gods thoughts are perfectly ordered and they are reality. This is why we believe that each person is gifted with the ability of reading his own bible and gaining wisdom. The bible is not chained to the lectern so to speak. The bible is the only accurate working principle among men. We are not given the authority to say what is not important where the bible makes it plain that it is important. That may not be chaining the bible to the lectern but its chaining a truth in the bible to the lectern. Bible truth is all connected and cannot be broken ... divided... or have its power thwarted by men.
My experience with meditation is that what i speak into time goes out on my behalf. How do i know this?.. by experience. When we speak the word of God it has a profitable end for where it goes. This profitable end is the renewing of our hearts. So we begin to experience a wholeness like we have eaten a meal and now we are satisfied. I often just sit after an hour of meditation and pat my bible. Its what i call the most pleasurable experience on this earth. Its the mind that has been gifted to the saint to enjoy the most beautiful illuminations to be enjoy to their ultimate end so that we find true joy from the inside. Our minds are the spiritual pleasure center as the gift to us to enjoy God. Now then in this enjoyment comes our profitable course in life. Its not in our free will... in our determination... in our plans and workings... its in the Name of the Lord... or the Lord Himself. This lifes purposes are a by product of the success of spiritual experiences in the enjoyment of God.
Now then Gods ways are more unexplainable than we could imagine in making our own plans. God does things that we could not fathom. Most of the time we are surprised by what God does when we consider our own ways. This is the enjoyment of the wonder of God. David says that as a king He was most happy when He was proclaiming the wonders of God. What are these wonders? The profit in the events in the past in which God gave the king victory after victory. In other words the King was so focused on God that he was as familiar with his own bankruptcy. The king had no personal connection to his own weaknesses. Instead the king used his troubles as a method to enforce Gods judgement as necessary to prove Himself faithful as the wonder of showing the king the transparency of dwelling in the mysterious work of God yet to be performed.

My experience with works has to do with who i have the most problems with. I say this because in this country we can play fast and loose with the gospel mandates and take stands against people based upon what appears to be our distinguishing real grace from counterfeit grace. But we must see that grace itself is too big and powerful for us to make absolute statements about how people are used by God. Sometimes the people who oppose us are in our own camp. Or they claim to be.

Let me say this that we must be very careful when we learn something because this christian life is not really like the organizations that men devise. We must begin to examine these things by comparing what other men say about them with what we have learned. This life is really in the details of our doctrine. It really does matter what we accept as orthodox. I know that we focus on how many people we have that follow us.. what kind of exposure we enjoy. But our mandate is to start with these doctrines of grace and look at them as equal to our quality of life. Our ability to wage war against the wiles of the devil. We must always approach this battle with exact words... exact responses to those who oppose those important things we focus on. In the end the true followers of Christ are focused on comparing what other men say with what we believe in a dogmatic way. Our dogma will save us from many arrows of our accusers even if we struggle with sin and weakness.Satan has not waged a war of outward conformity but with the mind of a saint.

This is why double predestination is soooo important. If God in passing over some men does not intend to pass over them then nothing we fail to do requires us to be under obligation to view ourselves as free since God is not free to choose to overlook. This is why the evil is very small and it infects all of our focus. If God does not choose some men and in the same choice over look others then in reality God has two wills. If God has two wills then we are divided.

Im not going to brag but works are a by product of the quality of faith we have. God produces the works in us. He works in us to will and to do. If you look at the total teaching about works you will find that God actually performed the mighty works in behalf of Israel in all their victories so that He proclaimed that He alone decided and performed Redemption for Israel. He has no other standard of who gets the glory. So much that God said He worked all the days in Israels reputation in the Davidic rule.

The ot distinguishes between mans ordering his own life and God preordaining Israels performance. God does wonders in Israel. The nations devise schemes to succeed but only in the end trap their neighbors. So God distinguish His glory as a glory that was evident in the nation of Israel through His covenant promises to prove that God is always faithful. A true saint will come to the great assembly only and proclaim the works of the Lord alone. God separates His works from mans works by the quality of those works. Man works based upon a payment. God gifts men through other redeemed men through works that are to great to imagine. Got to go.

There is only one counsel that is subscribed by God. This counsel is the ordering of a mans inner experience. From that experience of what we call transformation we acknowledge that man has very little ability with his own reasoning powers. We conclude that apart from the new life principle that is working in men through the Spirit that man would be powerless to do one good thing. So we are looking at the real state of mens hearts on this earth.

The prayer in faith comes from a man who is able to catch himself when he is just saying the words of prayer. This is why faith is taught to us in a holistic gospel and not a process of events. The world began from nothing created into something. So a gospel view of reality is creating from the spoken word. This is very difficult for us to grasp because we are naturally determining events through our five senses alone. So we have a natural wall up in connecting reality to something beyond a machine mentality. We look at events strictly from the nuts and bolts of the cause and effect of how reality goes up and down in the experience. In other words we lose site of the supernatural.
Have you ever looked at things and reasoned that God in His divine sovereignty before the foundation of the world ....put you at this particular event with all of the surroundings for a purpose beyond you ability to understand all of the reasons? Has the events pointed to you of the greatness of even the smallest part of the event because it was necessary for you to see it because God ordered it to be in your view? This is where our faith is watered and caused to flourish out of a sense of the majesty of God in designing these different elements in how we experience being in the presents of an omni present God. Our faith is the agency by which we go from a mechanical view of reality to a created view of word and Spirit. This is why our prayers are essential as means to create future reality.
The world is a place for spiritual artistry. We form our prayers so that we may announce that there is coming a party of celebration were we invite our guest to partake of our victory. We clear a path in which all of the saints can be a part of this free exercise of viewing the light of the glory of God as we have prayed. The truth is that this world is not a slow progression of becoming better saints but is a succession of miraculous events that are sudden disaster or big victories. Think of it like this... God has given us His word so that we can hear what He wants to do beyond the messages of this blind race of men. We have real power... we look for real saving effects... we know the voice of a real Shepherd. We value victory in a totally different vortex. We live in the reality that we can create the life vision into the lives of others. We tear down strong holds and everything that exalts itself against the knowledge of God and bring into captivity every thought that is opposed to God.
Why is a secret thought so powerful? Why not say we bring events into captivity and we tear down events that oppose God? Because God orders the events we create in word form.  His word of course.

If God is God then He must be the supreme judge who not only meets the requirements of the law but must make it easy for us to understand. So God is also beyond our understanding of the law He has implemented. How can we even understand the punishment if we do not really comprehend the standard? Obviously to assume God is what we define Him by our view of His law is a fatal mistake. Whats wrong with saying that the punishment must meet the standard of Gods justice just like His defending His people must be sought after in light of Gods promises? After all to assume that God does not have a scale of rewards and punishment is to make a way to God of our own view of good and evil. This is what injustice really is. Its creating a system out of mans low view of God to meet the requirements that we think God accepts. Cannot we just conclude that God is free to punish people according to a standard that we do not understand. Instead of saying that God must annihilate most of the human race because our view of His mercy must be more evident than His justice.

If God carries out His will in time then He must do it according to all that He is. If all that He is ... .is beyond our understanding then there is a reason that He has not told us and revealed to us beyond His goodness to keep us in the dark concerning how He rewards and punishes. In other words instead of encouraging us to live in total fear of His real standard He reaches down to our level and makes these things impersonal to us so that we will be encouraged to seek salvation over judgement. Doesnt salvation preordain that the judgement that is impersonal to me is personal to you as what defines the value of salvation? lol. Its not Gods standard of punishment that is our enemy but its our lowering Gods standard so that we must in some ways play God in how we create our own culture. In a sense we try to live a dream that all of Gods standards are understandable and that makes them personal to us as if we were able to not only meet those standards but we could handle the weight of all that God is by His standards. This wicked man has a head swelled full of pride. We must seek to be.. to live in the real understanding of distinguishing our smallness in comparison to all that we do not understand about the eternal nature of God. We must view life in light of Gods grace over sin so that we will seek salvation instead of living with the anxiety that Gods punishment must be so personal that we never attain this eternal hope.

Yep .. Kk and I are not offended by our disagreement. I tend to be direct but Kk understands my style. Remember that Iron sharpens Iron... although its mostly trying to form our arguments in light of the doctrine of God as it relates to words. Yep is a worry wort.... lol.   Grin

The bible teaches that God alone is love. Why does it prevent us from blaming God for our pain if we must determine that God is love? Because of sin. We must understand that sin was more than just sharing pain with one another through human weakness and unfulfilled expectations. Sin has brought an inability to do one good thing. Even if we were to achieve some kind of change in our lives we still would basically be the same as if we did not change. Because sin has brought both spiritual and physical death. So as well as never losing our familiarity with death we also become familiar with human weakness in our process of death even tho we may have accomplished changing when we were able to have a full memory and strength to be aware that we used our young strength to change. But the truth is that good change does not overcome the process of death but death reigns in these mortal bodies. So if we have a long term view of life then we will be more appreciative of the weaknesses in other people. Because life in the long run is about holding on.. receiving help based upon covenant... getting gifts as the increase for the quality of life. In other words the world as defined by corruption is a world of the weak and the strong.
This is why pride is so evil. Because pride looks at the short term problems. Living with pride is living in an unreal understanding of the universe as personal. This is why Jesus says if you want to keep your life you will lose it. This is why it is so important to distinguish divine love from human love. To define divine love as something that brings a person to the realization of himself. Not just that it is given to us to help us to love others or it helps us change. But that it is separated from human love as if human love is not love but hate. But we know that having relationships with other is pleasurable. Its not hate.. but in comparison to Gods love is our requirement to see reality. If love is free then it must be a gift extended in a relationship. So in order to give it away we must see that it is gifted to us. God in His grace proves that He loves us by giving us all that we need to live on this earth. We really do not receive it from others.. from our work.. from our ability but we receive everything as if God opened His hand it was given. We must always come to the realization that love is good but its hate compared to Gods love. God must be God. God is love.

Jesus in His incarnation came to die for His elect and to judge the world in sin, and righteousness. He came to make a highway in light of the spread of the gospel to the ends of the earth. But in order to accomplish this He had to be the judge as well as the Lamb. First He cursed the self righteous and healed the sick and encouraged the weak. He saved His people from their sins and at the same time sent the multitudes away who were following Him because of His miracles. Jesus came to be the door to access His heavenly kingdom and to bar the wicked from entering. Just as He had protected His chosen nation from the other nations, He came to make known the mystery that was in types and pictures in the ot. This mystery who had accomplished His reign in Israel through His divine power had come to earth as a man and fulfilled the OT understanding of Kingship. This King was the fulfillment of the Davidic Kingdom.

There was a time when we put our credit cards in a block of ice in the freezer so we had to really think about it before using them!

This is laughable since the bailouts. Money does not mean anything today. Owing money now is a voice crying from the future. lol. The system is upside down now. We chose investment over reward for labor. Theres a price to be paid.

Ah yes, Tom, time to pay the piper.
There is some good biblical stuff about this subject!

The fathers' sins are literally setting the children's teeth crooked!

Actually my generation has just gotten their retirement literally stolen from them.

Every time we help somebody we lose something. But this is not natural. Most people do not consider how their own hearts are a refection of something that is too in dept to help. So they think since they worked hard all their lives they deserve to spend a little on themselves. The truth is the world is a place of false scales. When we look in Revelation at the end of mans scheming to steal wealth through false scales we see that God has a way of counting. Youve got to understand these daily transactions are part of the price that God compares to the price of the Lambs blood.lol.  We must understand that the poor are not just tempted by sin to be unbelieving but by threats through the system of dominance and betrayal.

Within each heart is a longing to find consistency and kindness. But these traits are not part of this system. These traits are revealed traits. Man in his own course only schemes to the profit of his neighbor when there is a deal in place. But this is only a way to achieve false balances in the end. This is investments where money is exacted for profit through projections. This is why God adds up all of the riches of this world who take advantage of other people and He will exact the like punishment in eternity. look at the rich man and the beggar.

Now ive memorized the whole book of proverbs. This book is not encouraging trading sin, money, encouragement, or any thing to mans profit. God requires us to in the end be the most giving people. I laugh at our culture reading our present free market system into the Jewish culture. But the truth is they would give their own shirts to a stranger if need be. The counsel of proverbs demands a totally different cultural mandate than the world. Its describing the culture of the church in sharing in the same way as in Acts. It forbids a man to hoard money. I will tell the joke about the man who complained to God that the people around him could not afford his products and it caused him to commit suicide. Then God will tell him ... I gave you the money why did not you provide for their needs? lol.
But we see that the covenant community is the answer to how God promises to provide for His people. God adds things up according to His value of His people. lol. So the numbers in heaven are spinning faster than the current dept clock.lol.

We are encouraged to come to a Father who is not a hoarder or a miser. lol. He promises that if we come to Him then He will provide. If you  look at the conquest of Israel they did not drag all their wealth and food from Egypt with them. They were running for their lives. lol.  What were they running from? Well God was teaching them that His ways are not like the ways of the world. They wanted to store their quail for the famine.  God told them that He would provide for their daily needs. But they did not believe Him. See God gave them the ability through the manna to declare whatsoever they wanted. He promised that if they ate of the heavenly food they would conquer all their enemies and enter a land flowing with milk and honey. How did God obtain this land? Through destroying the world as it was. The evil rulers who stole and pilfered the church of God. Who is the church of God ?... the poor lol. How does the poor have that much power when they dont have anything? They believe that God owns the wealth of men. lol.

Every thing we say is counsel. Every comparison is a presentation of how we view the world and what are true words to live by. This is why God will not allow His sheep to be ultimately deceived by bad counsel. Because God has separated Himself from the counsel of men by declaring that all truth is revealed truth. God has established the language of men in this condescending way by only providing the basis of language as He distinguishes His language of mystery with the boundaries of language that He has given to man. If God prevents man from ideas as God knows from the ideas that God allows men to understand then God allows men to think the thoughts as He enables them. lol.
Mans ways are not Gods ways. Mans ways are cursed, Gods ways are blessed. Man curses himself. God allows man to bless himself and others through grace. God works in man to display Himself in mans desire to curse mans ways. lol. Man devises good schemes that are cursed. God uses bad men to curse good mens schemes. lol. The only success is God working in sinners to bless what God has worked for the good.lol. All other ways are worthless even if they are legal, have multiple positive reasons, are meant to achieve success, and have a redeeming value. All of the good on this earth comes out of Gods causes for His own glory. Revealed truth is reality. Revealed truth is the way of success.

Gods law is His working all things out for His glory and our salvation. God established a people for Himself so that He might display His glory to the nations in order that men might be confronted with true love, faithfulness, goodness, mercy, and kindness. But men go astray and neglect the weightier matters of the law. Instead men are a law unto themselves. They profess to be law keepers but in their hearts are all kinds of adulteries, fornication's, and covetousness. Men are born in blindness and deception. Men to not seek after God. All of mens thoughts are futile.

So God shows Himself to a people by grace. Before the foundation of the world God chooses a people for Himself to display His love. God orders the events of this world as the reality that He is God and there is no other. God does not share His glory with any man. Instead God brings to an end the nations of this world. This is the history of mankind. Nations rise and they fall. God orders the demise of the nations because He will not allow rulers to destroy the righteous and helpless. Gods display of His law is His faithfulness to bring all the authorities to His tribunal and punish them for edicts that are oppressive. God will not be mocked.

Because our Father has sent His Son into the world as the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of His people, then God must extract the price of the blood of the Lamb as payment for the sins of the Nations. When Christ comes to set up His kingdom then all mankind will see Him and seek to hide themselves from the wrath of the Lamb. All the kings of the earth, the princes, the generals, the rich, the mighty and every slave and free men will hide themselves from the face of the Lamb. This list makes up all of the different power structures of this world. This verse presents all men as if they were walking in blindness prior to their having to face this Lamb ... as if this event was planned from all eternity in all of these different people as God designing their end. No man has ever escaped the eyes and ears of God. Man has no authority to escape the final judgement.

We see that God is not the Father of all men. For what Father ... if His son asked for a fish would give Him a snake?... or the picture is like a evil ruler who rules by destroying other peoples lives. But God has established His family relationship with His people through covenant. God orders this world so that He reminds His children in covenant that He is always loving, faithful, kind, generous, longsuffering. For the purpose of establishing their way. God works in His saints to will and to do. He does this by extending grace as the way they are enabled to walk in this world as His faithful children. God as Father establishes His authority as He represents His children through His name alone. God establishes Himself as the author of good by showing that He will work the good out of sin, weakness, inability , and unfaithfulness of His children as a display that His glory comes in His grace on display. God as Father provides for His saints, works on behalf of His saints, forgives their sins, is not angry with them in light of His not being angry as an eternal God in comparison to earthly anger expressed. He will not always be angry with them.In other words as God is eternal and immutable He does not change but provides the basis for His glory display in the success of His name.

MBG and KK:

I see that you two could not agree on this issue, which I believe is incredibly sad and divisive. I believe that both of you are right, but unable to unite.

KK: MBG is right in that God is ultimately in charge and man does have a sinful heart. No matter how hard he tries, should he attempt to conquer sin, his trying would be in vain without God.

MGB: KK is right in that man must choose to recover. The evidence of your two unions of opinion is in his first statement. KK is approaching this issue from libertarian view and you are approaching it from the calvinist view. Neither views are wrong, per se, but the heart of the argument is what is wrong.

To both: Would it not be fair to agree that God is the ultimate source of recovery, and should man refuse to accept God's plan, that man can not recover from any particular sin?

It seems that both of you are stating that no matter what, man can not recover from particular sins because it is not done in the manner upon which you agree...

Yep... I disagree with you.. lol.

Christ answers all of our potential disasters. If we are angry Christ encourages us to curse with passion. He allows us to express our anger toward those who want to keep us from the way of life. Man is in his heart needy and desperate. God listen the the blood thirsty prayers of His people. Because we live in this world we experience the threats of man, and we know the world is going to be at our feet trying to destroy our life. We know that men want to cause us to stumble by the world news. We are subject to continuous threats from within and without. We feel separation from all that is patriarchal. Because we must stand alone on God we have no where to go in order to gain strength to endure this world.
Some of us do not get to the core of our anger. Some of us never obtain the full experience of our salvation. We allow these threats to cause us to withdraw in some ways. We experience anger as if God was not listening and protecting us. So we do not sit and reason with ourselves.. because we are too religious to be honest before God. We have never learned that this life is dirty and muddy. We do not consider that we experience being bloodied in this world. But as men of God we must fight with violent prayers in order to avoid this hard heart.  The heart of unbelief that causes us to withdraw into ourselves. The christian life is about God responding to stalkers and evil men who would do us wrong. We must seek the God who meets us in the mud and blood.
This is the experience that makes us harmless as doves, sensitive to the needs of others, to present confidence to those who are faltering. And to show rest to those who are anxious. Trust comes with extreme personal violence. Yes we go out to the enemy and take captive those who would harm the poor and the innocent. We get down into the dirt and blood and fight with spiritual weapons. My friends our pure robes are not completed gifted to us until we get to heaven. So we are close to the Lamb of God who has purchased us with blood. That blood that will avenge the wicked.

The gospel is a promise of deliverance. So we need to understand that the world cannot be fixed. There are those who are redeemed and then there are those who are as it were tossed off the cliff and they are without hope unless Gods hand reaches down to save them. We who are looking at this think that we can throw them a rope and change them. But a wise man will not put his hope in mans own horses. When we are saved we must determine to trust that man is hopeless no matter how much morality he learns to find true peace and prosperity.

But then most of the world is religious. So this is what we get deceived by. We look at things on the outside and we take sides. We do not see the messy hearts and the deceptive thought processes of the unseen workings in men. So we must understand that fools reside in the religious environment. The ot theology of sin and curse is applied to the religious community in the vision of the dogs. We need to understand that just because people attach themselves to a particular religious community does not mean they reason in a way that brings about redemption. This world really is about the arguments man present to God about himself as to why he deserves to be part of this religious group or that. Every man will argue for a wrong belief to his death. But the righteous are known by their taking refuge in God by word and Spirit. A spiritual man has trained his senses to know right and wrong through good doctrine.
So we must understand that just because there is religious fervor in a society does not mean that men are following wise counsel. Because there is a pre condition to wise counsel... its the fear of God. The fear of God is reverencing God by listening to the Shepherds voice. Only those who have entered into salvation can experience ongoing salvation. The voice of salvation is to continuously put all of our confidence in a Savior. To consider His love better than our own lives.

The Psalmist does not reason in balance between the rite way to go and the wrong way. Or how a person prevents him from following Christ. But the Psalmist has his heart focused on God. He praises God all day long, prays for God to enable him , looks to God for His prosperity all day long. Listens to God through His word. The Psalmist extols God all day long, gives God his most trying circumstance and prays for deliverance from it all day long. Prays for longer life, being protected from going to the pit, prays to trust God and avoids those who encourage him to trust in man, if he hears the religious culture that cries out he trust in God let God deliver him then the Psalmist turns and runs. This man will not let God go.

God in the ot who came down to save His people through physical circumcision
How do you get G-d saving through circumcision in the OT? Where does G-d say that if you get circumcised you will be saved? If you “Call upon the name of the LORD you will be saved”…have faith in…but nothing about circumcision to be saved.  Circumcision is the seal of the covenant between G-d and Abraham to inherit the Land (Israel) and have numerous offspring.

Quote
Gen 17:5  Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made thee.
Gen 17:6  And I will make thee exceeding fruitful, and I will make nations of thee, and kings shall come out of thee.
Gen 17:7  And I will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed after thee in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto thee, and to thy seed after thee.
Gen 17:8  And I will give unto thee, and to thy seed after thee, the land wherein thou art a stranger, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession; and I will be their God.
Gen 17:9  And God said unto Abraham, Thou shalt keep my covenant therefore, thou, and thy seed after thee in their generations.
Gen 17:10  This is my covenant, which ye shall keep, between me and you and thy seed after thee; Every man child among you shall be circumcised.
Gen 17:11  And ye shall circumcise the flesh of your foreskin; and it shall be a token of the covenant betwixt me and you.
Gen 17:12  And he that is eight days old shall be circumcised among you, every man child in your generations, he that is born in the house, or bought with money of any stranger, which is not of thy seed.
Gen 17:13  He that is born in thy house, and he that is bought with thy money, must needs be circumcised: and my covenant shall be in your flesh for an everlasting covenant.
Gen 17:14  And the uncircumcised man child whose flesh of his foreskin is not circumcised, that soul shall be cut off from his people; he hath broken my covenant.

Salvation is a separate issue from the circumcision issue and that is one reason the Jerusalem council put the nix on it for gentile converts. The other reason is that circumcision for gentile converts was a rabbinical Maccabeen formula, generated from the conflict with the Greeks. Name one gentle in the OT that converted to Judaism and was circumcised? There are none because it was never a mandated by Scripture.  What did Ruth do? She believed and accepted the G-d of Israel as her G-d. That all any gentile did in the OT.  The Jerusalem council knew their Scripture I wish I could say the say of gentile Christians.

Thor Wink

Physical circumcision was require by God or punishable by death. They entered a national covenant with the promise to keep the law. They were a nation that was given the oracles of God apart from the other nations. But they had no promise of deliverance apart from saving grace. Not all of them had Abraham as their spiritual father. See the Apostle.
