The work of the Spirit and the word.

In Psalm 1 we are taught that the man who meditates on Gods word will grow to be like a tree planted by streams of water who yields its fruit in its season. What kind of analogy is the Psalmist describing when he describe this tree? He is saying that we are given Gods kingdom to dwell in us and as we meditate on His word the Holy Spirit provides the success for the word to work in us and in our circumstances. The Holy Spirit recreates our lives by walking before us redeeming everything that is corrupted in us and in our world.
The tree is Gods kingdom produced in us. We see this in Psalms 2 which is the description of an earthly King who has been chosen by the Father to rule with a rod of iron...or putting all things under His feet He smashes all the kings of the nations who do not bow down to Him. This kingdom in us cannot fail because we rule by Gods word. The kingdom flourishes in us by Gods word and Spirit. The Spirit is our Paraclete- an advocate or helper- who makes our paths smooth by eliminating the corruption that would bring danger to us. It was by the power of the Spirit that Christ overcame the devil, weakness and sin so that HE conquered death and ascended to heaven to become the ruler over all things.
The apostle said that it was by the grace of God that He was able to obtain victory at the end of his life. It was not by his own power but it was by the grace that was in him. The apostle was talking about the work of the Spirit being an advocate...one who speaks on our behalf ...so that our purposes are not miss understood because we are worthy of blame. But even tho sin defines us because we are corrupted the grace of God overcomes sin. But this is not describing something like stain or liquid but in the sense that every man judges according to the flesh or every man has a government in him in which men seek to define everything according to their own moral compass. The grace overcomes all opposition because the Holy Spirit uses creative speech that overrules mens opinions. I need to write more on this.

The language of the Holy Spirit " May your good Spirit lead me on level ground...For Your name sake preserve my life-{ its Gods nation with Gods weapons and Gods battle for our protection.}... In Your righteousness bring me out of trouble...in Your unfailing love silence my enemies...destroy all of my foes...for I am Your servant"-{ speaking of the Psalmist quest to protect the poor through military conquest. We fight spiritual foes. }
