He alone is the judge. The question is if our justification depended upon our position, our behavior or our charisma and all of us are sinners then who decides what is the legitimate proof of being vindicated? In preordained all things before the world was created. A God whospeaks all things into existence has already made the judgement about the purpose of anything. God does not need proof in order to be successful. He is successful because He decreed good and evil to prove that He is right. He vindicates His people because He is right.May those who seek my life be disgraced and put to shame; may those who plot my ruin be turned back in dismay." God decreed that when man sinned he would be cursed with blindness .The Psalmist teaches that the man who is blind has not cause. He is disconnected from the realityof justification. If universal sin was simply offending God then we would have no reason to feel threatened. We are not intending to harm someone when we sin. This is why the Psalmist is alerting us that all sin offends God also is an act of aggression toward our neighbor. But if we felt threatened by every man then would avoid sinners. But because God has taken the responsibility of judgement by cursing the wicked then we dont need to be afraid. The pronouncement of the curse protects us from the potential of being harmed insteadof God performing swift punishment. God frees us from being overly concerned by the violence of sinners in the curse. The more words in scripture that we are familiar with the more questions we are gonna have when we see those words throughout scripture. And the more we think about how the words are related the more comprehensive and balanced view we will have. This is making theology personal.Ps 12May the LORD cut off all flattering lips and every boastful tongue Gods curse is much bigger than the entire defense machinery of a nation. It is more effective than our greatest experience of restoration. The Psalmist frees himself from the system that is put into placeby man to address the evils in society. He does this by pronouncing the curse. If God expelled every person in the city who miss represented His word then there would be peace. When you begin to acknowledge Gods work you will not be so quick to judge.People think that you matter when you become a christian. So they describe salvation and repentance as an example of the movie Saw. When you get through the gauntlet you have repented. God does not need your reaction. He saved John before he was born.
