The Psalmist complains about his sin when he is suffering a physical injury. Because the sin is like a dead organism that festers and spreads to the body. But its not life threatening because he has the new man who inoculates him by the curse of the law.Num 19Whoever touches the dead body of anyone and fails to purify himself defiles the LORD's tabernacle. That person must be cut off from Israel. Because the water of cleansing has not been sprinkled on him, he is unclean; his uncleanness remains on him. You see the dead organism

must be contained. We must inoculate ourselves by the curse of the law.

Ps 97 7 All who worship images are put to shame, those who boast in idols- worship him, all you gods!" All who worship idols are cursed. Unclean in us is the dead thing not being cauterized..1Tim 2Such teachings come through hypocritical liars, whose consciences have been seared as with a hot iron." The curse of the law is the heat that cauterizes the conscience. The old man is alive by our condemning others and excusing ourselves. But when we are made alivethe curse of the law cauterizes our sinful nature.Matt 1625For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will find it. The only way that we can save ourselves is through cursing ourselves by redefining Gods law. The only way to redefine the law is lowering the standard so that the law has nopower to curse. The law becomes a bar that we can rise up to. The only way that we can lose our lives is to separate ourselves from that cursed desire of self righteousness of the old man. The dead thing must be contained so that it does not contaminate the living thing.
