In order for us to be secure we must depend upon the news we hear. Every person wants to be happy because they are assured that their desires are fulfilled. The Lord is very concerned about how alert we are by listening to the right voices and seeing the right things. Most all of our troubles can be avoided if we are listening to God.  Most of our insecurities come from being unaware of what the Lord is saying to us by what we hear. What does the Psalmist want to hear?


Psalm 5 3 He wants God to hear his voice in the morning.
10 17 He wants God to hear him when he is suffering
17 1 Wants God to hear what he is saying that is correct.
17 6 Hear his prayers so as to hear the answer
18 44 Hear that God intervened and he was protected from being trapped or harmed.
27 7 Hear the Psalmist voice whenever he speaks
28 2 Hear his cry for mercy
30 10 Hear his cry for help and meet it
31 13 Hear the slander in order to be aware of the danger
34 2 Let other people hear the Psalmist brag about the Lord
38 13 When the troubles are enough to make him silent he wants God to hear his silent suffering
39 12 Hear him when he is crying. collect his tears
49 1 Make the people hear what the Psalmist is saying
51 8 Let the Psalmist only hear joy and gladness ..gladness over sorrow
55 2 Silence my troubled thoughts.
55 19 prevent wicked men from abusing him by changing their thoughts

When the Psalmist ask God to hear, it is not speaking to a God who sits and listens but when God hears He acts. God acts but we can only ask and hear.
