Ps 93 5Your statutes stand firm;
holiness adorns your house
for endless days, O LORD. "
God planned all things in His eternal counsel. He is holy because every thing is spoken into existence.He has created all things according to His law, covenants, statutes, curses, decrees and promises. All of creation is fixed firmly upon Gods axioms. The creation is proof that God is not pragmatic. All of creation must rise up to the standard of blessing or be judged by the pronouncement of the law. Gods purposes in creating all things must never be measured or changed. So the Psalmist is teaching that God orders all things according to His fixed judgements.1b " The world is firmly established; it cannot be moved."
The creation is spoken by God pronouncing the axioms. God has determined the beginning from the end in His eternal counsel. Even tho the earth is subject to the process of decline yet each change in the decline of a thing rises up to the line of blessing or cursing. Because man lives in bondage to time, he experiences sorrow, fear, anxiety and pain. The Psalmist is teaching that our natural desires oppose to the axioms. In this Psalm we are taught that our only hope of finding security and stability is Gods eternal judgements. The waves show the rising and falling of Gods power to exercise His blessing and cursing. The repetition of the waves shows that all of history is dependent upon the fixed judgements of God in the blessing and cursing. 4 Mightier than the thunder of the great waters,mightier than the breakers of the sea- the LORD on high is mighty."
He is comparing the waves rising up to the voice of God in pronouncing the axioms. 3The seas have lifted up, O LORD , the seas have lifted up their voice; the seas have lifted up their pounding waves"
The waves make a loud boom as they crash against the sea so also the power of God in pronouncing the axioms is sure and steadfast. All of creation is ordered like the constant movement of sea as the waves roll. God rises up to blessing and cursing in reestablishing His axioms.
The Psalmist is comparing the waves to our experience of speaking the axioms. We are made to seek after blessing. But when we are opposed we are forced to descending into the sorrows of this world. So we are pronouncing blessing and cursing in order to rise up to the unity of all things or push the sorrows down in descending into the trial in order to curse the curse. Our lives are experience like the waves rising and descending into the sea. When we speak the axioms our security is fixed as the waves make the loud boom. The Psalmist is teaching that Gods holiness is His eternal pronouncement that has brought all things into existence for the purpose of blessing or cursing. All of the experiences of our lives have already been fixed in this judgement. 5Your statutes stand firm;holiness adorns your house for endless days, O LORD .
