Ps 144 3 O LORD , what is man that you care for him,
the son of man that you think of him?
4 Man is like a breath;
his days are like a fleeting shadow."
The Psalmist teaches that God created man for the purpose of ruling over creation. So God progressively brought salvation to the earth by the creation covenant in establishing the nation of Israel through law. It is a universal pronouncement of Gods blessing that any nation outside of the walls of Israel had not been given the law and were under the pronouncement of the curse. Because the nations are not given the law, covenants, curses, statutes, decrees and promised they are like a fleeting shadow. If God is concerned for the suffering of His elect then He must be able to subdue the wicked under the authority of His curses. Salvation comes through pronouncing the axioms. The Psalmist is teaching that Israel must take the land away from the nations by force. God law must be thoroughly applied through governing.The pronouncement of the curse will bring about the complete destruction of the wayward and rogue nations. God was establishing the curse through the advancement of physical force that would be applied in a legal war. Israel was required to pronounce the curse in order to have the right attitude to destroy all the unlawful nations.
4 Man is like a breath;
his days are like a fleeting shadow."
The Psalmist is teaching that the history of the world is a history of redemption. God is establishing His law through nations in order to protect the value of all men. God redeems his people by paying the price in order to avenge the devaluing of the creation. God redeems men by overturning the redefining of His governing law. The Owner must take vengeance upon the wicked by taking their profits and giving them to His people. When Gods law is redefined sons and daughters are abused, the barns are empty, the oxen die in the fields, and the enemy climbs over the walls and steals the nations treasury and Israel is led into captivity. This happens because no one pronounces the axioms which leads to redefining Gods law and abusing Gods people. The Psalmist is praying that God would reestablish His majesty and glory in the nation through the curse that will produce the attitude of detests of the rogue nations.
