God provides for our every need. If we get
into the habit of thinking in terms of a wage for food then we are going
to always be anxious. We are always going from need to plenty. We are
promised that in going through these extreme circumstances that God will
provide. We are always to start in our thinking with God has made all
things. Since God has made all things, for His glory and praise then He
also sustains all things. So when we are in need we are not drawn to the
idea that we must fix the problem ourselves but we are drawn to focus
on Gods provision for us. In focusing on God providing for us we are
actually acknowledging the absolute sovereignty of God. We must see that
it is not necessarily our needs that are first and foremost in the way
God is working out His purposes but we are one part of all of Gods
purposes.
The real anxiety buster is only experienced when we are alone
and we begin to process just how God provides for our needs. God must be
praised, and anxiety must be crucified by the word of God which says
that He opens His hand and satisfies every living thing. It is not a
group comfort that will bring about real relief, because when we are
alone the anxiety will come back. It is when we understand that God is
always loving, always, gracious, always kind always forgiving as a
standard rule and a scriptural illumination from our minds to our hearts
than that desire in our hearts will over power our anxiety. We can
never understand the way the Holy Spirit works in us unless we think
Gods thoughts after Him.
The Holy Spirit will enliven and give us wisdom
in our work, will conquer our enemies that do not want our needs
provided, and will tear down the strongholds of philosophy in men around
us and cause them to only trust in God for their provision. It is in
the time when God decides to make our riches fade away like a moth
eating cloth that we are really moved to place all our trust in God.
Dont believe those how are always saying that you must do first before
God will bless. God does all and you do all. God provides all and you
work hard. God strengthens you and you having the Spirit will be driven
as the apostle Paul.
