Spurgeons...cont

The words of God may be written in a book but these words are more than a description of what a persons life should look like, the definition of who Christ, the history of the world or the manual on how to accomplish a task. A lot of people get focused on side issues. But the scripture is the spoken word of God that has no boundaries of time, no human limits on how the words effect change and no limits on addressing a large scope of suffering. The words of God have healed every person in the history of the world, turned every event of all the believers from bad to good, and provided the foundation of success in all occupations, families, and physicians. The spoken word of God was used by Christ to eliminate all disease from the earth in His 33 years of ministry.

Does the book itself have magic powers? No.... But the words from Gods lips never fail. Do we need to read the word from a book in order to experience the power of the word? No we can say one word..." Jesus" and stop a war. The words of scripture are more a way to be instructed. They are the emanation of God that brings all other personalities into submission. When I say that the word dwells in us I am saying that we are filled with all the fulness of God. We have a God consciousness in us. And in this sense the spoken word of God rings so loud that we easily forsake ourselves and see Jesus alone. The spoken word of God give us a new present understanding of who we are ... as if the former understanding was a lie. It changes us from being confused about who we are to understanding who we are.

I do not think you can reduce Jesus to just being very simple. I kind of think its putting Him in a box. Jesus is also very complicated. There is a reason why God created smart people. I know its comforting for people who are not good or enjoy talking about the things that are hard to understand but we need someone to encourage people who do not pick it up as fast. But I feel a spiritual connection to Max and Ml and in no way insinuate that they are dumb.
