I dont think Jesus dropped His humanity to be the teacher. I believe He
was motivated by human causes. The self righteous used the law of God to
attack Jesus eternal claims. I do not believe Jesus simply responded to
them as if He came from another world. Jesus was always present in the
world from before the foundation of the world. He had always implemented
the law for a cause. What was the cause?
Was the cause to get
the ot church to fall in line? Not really the leaders made more laws to
keep the people from going against the simple law of God. But anytime
you look at a document that gives you the structure of a nation there is
always a spirit about that document. In other words there is a purpose
that is like a signature that you are gonna respect the personal rights
of others by not making burdensome laws. And this spirit of Gods law was
to protect the poor and helpless from the advancement of the rich and
powerful.
Anyone who speaks Gods governing pronouncements knows
that Gods intent in giving the law was to be the governor in the spirit
of reversing the natural inclinations of man. Man seeks to appease God
by law keeping but God is much bigger than mans authority. God is much
bigger than mans attempts to structure a society by his view of Gods
law. Is there anything that escapes Gods perfect justice and equity
according to the strict interpretation His law? Absolutely not.
This
is the problem with structuring human institutions. The natural spirit
in man is to use the law as a hammer. But the spirit of the law is to
free the helpless. There is a perfect enactment of Gods law that is
behind mans attempt to to use the law in his aggressive spirit. In spite
in the world using the law to destroy others God never allows His law
to be over turned. God works to turn society upside down by His absolute
sovereignty. This is why the bible always present those people in
heaven as the ones who suffer, who go without, who are powerless
...because Gods purpose of His law is to protect those people.
